OMG!! I made this dish and it's the bomb! My kids like it surprisingly and my friend gave me a huge compliment! I have a question though since this is my first time making this or any indian dish. Curry is any dish with liquid/sauce..meaning not dry/not masala..Curry as a spice is combination of dried ginger/garlic pwd ,turmeric etc..In India, curry isn't use as? a spice but individual spices are but outside India, curry has become synonymous with Indian food..:) Hope that helps!

Proper turmeric (Curcuma longa) isn't ginger (Zingiber officinalis). There are many ways to adulterate a product and selling it with another name. Question? about the ketchup -- the ketchup we get in India is a lot more tart and vinegary, and slightly salty (which is actually in line with the "traditional" form of ketchup)... whereas in the U.S., ketchup has been influenced by what Heinz originally sold, resulting in a product which is very sweet and syrupy with a weaker bite of vinegar. Do you get a better result with one or the other? Seems to me that the sweetness of "U.S." ketchup might be preferable, but it could also be overpowering.
