Hi Sam, pleased your doing great, I have or hopefully had a tumor attached to my optical nerve, meet next month with MRI planned later this year, so i am hoping things are sorted, Hope your test results go well, its hard to keep positive thoughts when the news is not exactly what you would wish for, its the not knowing that worms its way into your head, so knowing whats happening? is a positive thing, and knowing the pros will do everything to help is a great help for your confidence,

Hello, thank you for your comment. What was your treatment for? Yeah, the frame fitting was a very memorable experience. Not very nice! I am doing great thanks. Feeling fine in myself :) I had an MRI scan at? the beginning of March. Sadly the AVM is still there and the results are being sent up to Sheffield to see if I need another dose. Oh yes, I was in very good hands. I hope you are doing well too. Have you heard back yet?

Hi Sam, Thank you for sharing your experience, I had gamma treatment 2011, at Sheffield Hallamshire. so your video brought back some of those memories, the look on your face after the frame fitting is definatley the look I had,? I hope your recovery is going well, and hope that anyone who may require this treatment can take heart from your video and the reassurance that you are in very good hands with the team at Sheffield.

Hello. Thanks for commenting. Oh, what is the Lunar Accelerator? The process sounds quite similar. My AVM is/was towards the back of my head so it had an effect on my balance and co-ordination. The? effects only came about after my brain haemorrhage back in October 2007 and for the months of recovery. I have no problems now except tiredness. Did you have a haemorrhage? Do you still get side effects now? And when do you get the results for this?

Hi there,a week ago I had this surgery in Dunedin,NZ but with a machine called a Lunar Accelerator.I think I would have found it harder with the Gamma? Knife.I was there only for the day, frame fitted, ct scan and angiogram then it took quite a while to fit the headframe to the bed and get all the measurements correct but only about 10minutes to have the radio.My AVM was in the vision part of my brain so my question is where was your AVM and have you have any of your side effects? Thanks-Lucinda

, 2003 I had the gamma knife then it was left for 4 years for it? to work. 2007 I had the angio and was given the all clear. I still take 300mg of Epillim a day, but have had no side effects. I try and live life to the full nothing stops me. Whats happening with you?

Well done Sam, good video. Hope your well! It reminds me of my op in 2003 had about 8 angio's and then the gamma knife in London. 7 years on and? I'm doing good. All the best!
